Kenong Rimba Park is sprawled about 120 sq km in the Kenong Valley with its eastern and northern boundaries fringing Taman Negara. Caving is a popular sport here. Take a cruise along the Kenong River and enjoy the beautiful view.

The second largest national park in Peninsular Malaysia is Endau-Rompin in Pahang. It was named after the Endau and Rompin rivers that flow through the park. Over the last 15 or so years the number of people deciding to take a break with one of the excellent holidays to Malaysia has been on the rise; when you take a look at what’s on offer it’s easy to see why. The mix of Asian culture, food, and scenery means any holiday experience here can be a diverse and exciting experience. The beautiful modern city contains all you would expect, bright lights, shopping, eating and drinking and many nights worth of entertainment. Petronas Twin Tower, Batu Caves, Orchid Garden and the Royal palace are just a few of the sites that are well worth a trip, and if you do plan to visit then make sure you’re staying for a few nights as there’s bound to be a lot you’ll want to do and see in this brilliant city.

Finally if you want something a little less city based, then a trip out to the Cameron Highland might just be the thing for you. The highlands feature some of the most beautiful scenery in Malaysia, with its rolling hills and mountains. Cut into the side of many of the hills in this region are the Tea plantations that it’s famous for. These plantations make for a great day out, experiencing life on the plantation, and they quite often have other features too, small cafes, flower gardens and pretty little restaurants. The region also features some great golf courses for those with a slightly more sporty persuasion.

There are many other great reasons to visit Malaysia, the selection above are only a few of the highlights, and a holiday to this area need not be expensive either as tour operators these days have a fantastic selection of trips to this part of the world. So whether its part of one of the many package holidays to Thailand or a holiday in its own right, Malaysia really does make for one of the best holiday experiences around.…

Can’t we visit Malaysia anytime of the year? Do we really need to be concerned about timing? What are the things we need to be concerned about when planning to visit Malaysia? These are some of the concerns that I will be addressing in this article.

Similar to visiting any other county in the world, there will be certain times in a year when visiting Malaysia would allow you the chance to experience more than any other period. There are three important things to consider when it comes to planning a trip here and they are weather, festivals and school holidays. We’ll look at each of them separately.

Weather Factors

Malaysia has only two seasons like most other tropical countries; Hot and Wet. Frankly it is hot and wet throughout the year but there are times when it will get a whole lot wetter. The factor that determines this is the Monsoon Season which occurs between October and February every year. During the Monsoon Season, the country experiences more rain than other periods and this gets even worse on the East Coast with strong winds that makes the sea too rough for boats to travel on. If you do visit Malaysia during this season, you would be limited to traveling around the West Coast which are mainly towns and cities. During the Monsoon Season also, many of the resorts on the islands would be closed and you would be hard pressed to find anyone willing to take you out on a boat ride or scuba diving. Even on the mainland, your adventure would be limited. Trips to the highlands would be ill advised due to landslides and the rain forests would be a place of mud pools. So try to avoid this period if you are planning any outdoor activities.

Festivals

If you plan your trip well you might arrive in time for one of the major festivals in Malaysia. This would give you the best opportunity to experience Malaysian culture and cuisine. There are three main Malaysian festivals that should be on your list of things to do here, which are Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and Deepavali.

Chinese New Year is held on the first day of the first month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar. These dates tend to change each year and do not follow the normal calendar cycle but if you Google it, you can find out the dates. Chinese New Year is celebrated for an entire month but plan to visit on at least the first two days because the peak of the celebrations. During this festival, you would get a chance to watch Lion Dances all over the country, hear loud firecrackers everywhere and indulge yourself in juicy, sweet Mandarin Oranges.

The word Hari Raya actually means Day of Celebration for the Muslim community. There are in fact two Hari Rayas, which are Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Haji. While they are both equally important to the celebrants, if you want to experience Malay culture at its best I would suggest you opt for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Prior the start of this Hari Raya, the Muslim would spend an entire month fasting. Visiting Malaysia at this fasting period would allow you a chance to sample various cakes and cookies, some of which are not prepared at other times in the year. Because the dates follow the Muslim Calendar, you would have to Google the dates too.

Deepavali is the Hindu celebration of Light which is celebrated somewhere in October or November each year. You would have to go to Google for the exact dates. The Hindu houses are brightly lit with a lot of lamps and a visit to these houses would present you with so many Indian delicacies that would tingle your taste buds for days.…

Destined as the hub for fashion and style statements, Mumbai is a place that allures several people all around the year. Having said that, it is indeed a fact that a part of India’s economy grows every year because of the ample number of tourists getting attracted to this place. This place has historical importance, as this was the way the British, who left the Indian country by sea, marched through this Gateway. The elephant caves are another site of attraction, which are known for their rock-cut caves and sculptural beauty.

Juhu Beach is a place where most tourists would love to hang out. There are ample reasons to enjoy the shores of Mumbai, which is one of its kind. A walk near the shores of Mumbai is an excellent way to have a look at the night view of Mumbai, which is a visual treat to the tourist’s eyes.
